Project:

Students cleaned up and replanted schoolyard beds. They also planted larger trees and shrubs around a grouping of boulders, which will serve as an outdoor classroom.

Project:

Energy in Action installed six log benches, and created two large beds. The students planted shade trees around the benches and filled the beds with native grasses and shrubs and perennial flowers for pollinators

Energy in Action installed six log benches and the students planted a small forest of trees and flowering shrubs close by. They then collected several bags of garbage off the school grounds.

The students revitalized an eroded section of riverbank along the Beaverlodge river. They planted over three hundred spruce saplings donated by the town council and the Alberta Conservation Association.

This brand new school needed landscaping. Students planted spruce and deciduous trees and shrubs in beds around the school. The soil was donated and the beds were prepared by the maintenance staff of School District 59.

The school had a neglected garden in its courtyard, so students cleaned out the beds, planted new shrubs and revitalized the paths with new gravel. The also created new flower and shrub beds at the back of the school and planted shade trees around their play structure.

The school had a neglected schoolyard garden so students revitalized the beds and planted vegetables, flowers and small trees and shrubs. They also painted butterfly cutouts and mounted them on the surrounding fence.

Project:

The students created a bed around the school sign and filled it with small shrubs. Then they planted raspberry bushes along the fence line and painted butterflies which they mounted on the fence.
