What is CAPP Stewardship?
The industry understands that the respect and confidence of Canadians must be earned through real progress – that's what Stewardship is about. It means we are committed to ensuring the safety of employees and the public, protecting the environment, and developing and maintaining positive relationships in the communities in which we operate. It is our demonstration of putting words into action and it drives the belief that good is never good enough.
How Stewardship Works
Commitment to Stewardship is a mandatory requirement of CAPP membership. Companies implement Stewardship in a stepped approach and at a pace that fits their operations.
This Report offers a brief introduction to the issues challenging the industry: land, water, air, safety, and people. Also included is selected data outlining year-over-year progress, along with examples of stewardship in action.
