Abstract 

Responsible water use and continual improvement in water management is a high priority for the upstream oil and gas industry. The industry is proactively developing new technologies and methods of production that are less fresh water-intensive, maximizing water recycling and reuse, incorporating groundwater monitoring well networks at its facilities, and implementing wetland mitigation strategies.
