Responsible Canadian Energy™ is an association-wide performance reporting program designed to track progress of the CAPP membership in environmental, health, safety, and social performance.
Responsible Canadian Energy™ is an approach that builds on CAPP’s longstanding Stewardship initiative and serves as a platform for the industry to demonstrate and communicate performance improvements to our stakeholders.
This program is a collective recognition that there are concerns about the impact of our operations and reflects the oil and gas industry’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement in areas that matter to Canadians.
The program adopts a comprehensive approach to data collection and trending that builds on CAPP’s decade of stewardship data and introduces several new measurements we know are critical to Canadians. This year will serve as industry’s baseline year as companies begin to use Responsible Canadian Energy metrics (performance data) and the program’s management tools.
