Progress Report for the year ended December 31, 2009
For the year ended December 31, 2009
Responsible Canadian Energy is an association-wide performance reporting program based on data reported by the CAPP membership, annual measurement and analysis of this data, as well as tools and resources for CAPP members to support continual performance improvement. The program is designed to track progress in the areas of environmental, health, safety and social performance. The program builds on nearly a decade of achievements through our Stewardship initiative, addressing key areas for performance improvement, with a renewed focus on transparency in how we assess and communicate our performance.
The Responsible Canadian Energy Progress Report for the year ended December 31, 2009, provides information on the environmental, health, safety and social performance of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) membership, representing more than 90 per cent of the oil and gas produced within Canada. In a supplement to this report - the Responsible Canadian Energy™: Oil Sands Progress Report - we provide an in-depth look at Canada's oil sands.
