The United States remains Canada’s largest partner in oil and natural gas exports, and decades of cooperation on energy trade has brought substantial benefits to both countries. Our deeply interconnected and long-standing trade relationship, which includes integrated North American oil, natural gas and liquefied natural gas networks, supports shared economic growth and energy security. We will work with governments in Canada and the United States to ensure the energy sector can continue to play an important role in driving new investments, creating additional jobs, and providing a stable supply of affordable energy to Canadians and Americans.”
