Kristin came to CAPP in the spring of 2023, in the role of Vice-president, Communications.
Kristin is a forward-thinking communicator who understands the unique intersection of corporate communications, media relations and public policy. With an extensive background in communications planning, government relations, lobbying and advocacy, Kristin believes in collaboration and stakeholder alignment to build and execute effective communications strategies. She’s a leader and team-builder who values honest dialogue and a solution-based approach to issues management.
Beyond her professional life, Kristin is a community-minded individual. She sits on several charity boards including the Calgary International Film Festival, the University of Calgary Alumni Association, and Discovery House, a facility for women recovering from domestic violence.
Born and raised in Calgary, Kristin is active in outdoor pursuits, especially cycling and hiking. She spent 14 years at an independent public and government affairs consultancy where she managed the company’s western Canadian operations and two and a half years in government and stakeholder relations with a large Canadian energy infrastructure company. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary.
